Sunset Beach

After work on Wednesday, we loaded up the car in the rain and headed to join the rest of the Christies at Sunset Beach. We arrived about 10pm- just missing dinner. Thursday and Friday were wonderfully relaxing days- except for keeping a constant eye on Lila. It was SO nice to be together and just relax. It was wonderful, just too short of a trip. Yet again, my only goal of getting a family photo of the 3 of us failed to happen. Oh well.....

Lila loved the beach- everything from the water, sand, birds, dogs, and people to whom she could wave. She is such a ham!
It was VERY good to see Aunt Carey- Lila quickly warmed up to her and learned lots of "bad" tricks from her and Dave ;)



Thursday we went to the ocean early in the morning and Pat had set up the tent. Lila was not scared of the water at all! She is a little daredevil- which of course had me worried! No need to worry though- she had lots of eyes on her at all times. She also enjoyed playing in the sand until she tried to eat it again. She'll learn one day....


Thursday night we had a birthday party for everyone. We had a frog cake and ice cream- which we all enjoyed. Lila was in heaven playing with the beer boxes....



Friday we were very lazy. Lila and I briefly went to the ocean by ourselves and played for a few minutes until her attention span was ready to move on.



Friday night we had a yummy dinner and then some of us played the game, "Apples to Apples" while the Olympics were on. Lila did not want to sleep- instead she wanted to act like a monkey, swinging on the table.


Saturday we stopped in Wilmington for lunch with Morgan and Erica and had fabulous burgers at "Hell's Kitchen".


Then we came home and procrastinated....we ended up at the mall and Lila played in the fountain.
