Busy weekend

Friday we cleaned the house and Lila went "swimming" in a little pool I had gotten her the other weekend. She didn't really like it, the water was a little chilly- straight out of the hose. Maybe tonight she can get back in it after the water warms up.

David cooked homemade pizzas for Amanda, Eli, Amanda, and Steve last night. Here's Lila with Amanda and Eli.

Today (Saturday) Lila, Zia, and I went to Raleigh for the "5K Race for the Cure" to raise money for breast cancer research. I walked in memory of my Aunt Helen and Pat walked in memory of her dear friend, Maureen. Special thanks to Grandma and Papa B and Dr. Blaylock for sponsoring us! The race started at 9 am but it was already hot and very crowded. Lila did VERY well and we had a fun time! There were over 25, 000 people racing and/or walking today! Amazingly enough, we met up with and walked with Marrin, Jocelyn, and some of their friends. After the race, Zia treated us to the "Village Deli". Overall, a very fun but exhausting morning- can't wait to do it again next year!

Sorry we couldn't make it yesterday.
We were just so exhausted and we still needed to do some grocery shopping for tomorrow night, not to mention clean, laundry, blah blah blah~
